happn: dating app

Where to begin? First off this app is extremely expensive. The subscription offer says $18 but it doesn't say for how long in the description before you pay, it's $18 a week not a month. Secondly there were a total of five real profiles and three spam profiles. Absolutely no way to expand your search even though the map tells you to expand your search. It's trash and I'd prefer a refund.

Small number of bots, and scammers looking to up their insta subs. Seems completely deserted otherwise. Only "likes" have been from 500+ miles away. Re developer reply: I've reported 50+ clearly fake profiles with photos of different people all funneling users to the same 2 IG accounts, but they reappear daily. I assume you're leaving them on purpose, to make it look like you have a larger user base, or even creating them yourselves!

it's been a pretty terrible experience so far. every screen freezes and errors out. can't upload or change photos, I have no idea if my profile is even visible or working. seems like a cash grab dating app. after a couple days of using it... I am no longer shown any matches and there is no way to change their search algorithm preferences without paying. it's confirmed garbage.

Been on the app for over a month, and have only matched with bots. I can't match with anyone else because I've looked at all the available profiles, and once you do that you can't look at any more. Can't adjust the distance filter either, only age. Never had anyone cross paths with me, and even in the "vibes" category there's been like 3 people. I'm not paying, so I can't do anything on it, or even look at profiles. Easy uninstall.

Tl;DR Very promising but there were like three people on the whole app. Pros -very easy to use -showing nearby people / who have crossed your path is an amazing idea Cons -during setup, the app froze after each question and i had to force quit and reopen -not allowed to type in your favorite spots - you had to pick from a list. My mid-size city had one item to choose from, which just said duck pond. we don't even have one. -pretty much nobody on the whole thing.

I tried this app for several months. Absolutely nothing but scammers and bots. Yes, they say they use photo verification, but it's pretty terrible. I found a lot of these "women" using photographs of models and influecers with a simple reverse image search. I probably reported about 20 accounts and it seemed like they improved nothing the whole time. i never once met an authentic human being on this app. Trash app.

Since the moment I've installed this and updated my profile, I have yet to see anyone I "happn" to cross paths. Now, to put it in perspective, I travel through multiple cities everyday, driving by, walking around pretty consistently, and pretty much go everywhere but bars and clubs. And I have yet to find one person? Yea no thanks. Outside of coincidentally seeing someone, you can't do anything to "better" your odds of running into someone. Might as well ditch this app.

I used this app about a year or so ago and it was bad, but I wanted to give it a shot once again. I got a discount for 50% off and decided to give it another chance. Since I paid for it, I matched with at least one person a day. The only problem is that each one of them are FAKE. And they're super easy to spot, but Happn doesn't do ANYTHING to prevent them. They do not have a "verified profile" feature and let anyone register with any fake photo. Tragic! Don't waste your money like I did!

Firstly. Notifications are terrible. It posts notifications to check out profiles just to open the app and tell you there's no one in your area. But if someone messaged you, good luck getting a notification. Secondly. The matches here are mostly scams. Two of my matches have completely changed their profile pics to completely different women. Another one was offering escort services. The rest haven't responded. Probably because they didn't get any notification. Definite buyer's remorse

Back when it used to work. It was interesting using this app, crossing paths, trying to match with people relatively close. This latest time downloading the app, it's riddled with "error" 's (as indicated by the app) and No crossings are detected (I live in one of the busiest restaurant areas In town) even though my match parameters are wide open. I've reinstalled multiple times and opened up all permissions with no luck . Hopefully it's working for others.
